We admit it. We here at OPJ are kind of burger snobs. We love a nice thick, juicy burger, especially when draped with cheese and smothered in fresh toppings. We pass when it comes to thin cafeteria-style burgers you sometimes find at theme parks and resorts.
We’re happy to report that Disney World actually offers some of the best burgers in all of Orlando. Our favorites are the bacon cheddar burger at Primo Piatto, the quick service restaurant at Disney’s Riviera Resort, and the Bacon and Vermont Cheddar Burger at the Ale and Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Honorable mention has to go to the Stack Burger at the Steakhouse 71 Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and most of the burgers at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs. All of these burgers are juicy, meaty, and delicious.
To be honest, even the standard quick-service burgers in the Disney World theme parks are pretty darn good—for the price and speed of service, that is. Our favorites at each park are Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom, Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom, and Backlot Express in Hollywood Studios. Wait, we forgot to name a burger that we like at Epcot. Oh, right, there isn’t one… until now! (Sorry, Connections Cafe!)
We recently tried the Steakhouse Blended Burger at the Flavors from Fire kiosk. This burger is made from fresh beef, topped with truffle brie cheese fondue, arugula, and a single truffle potato chip on a sesame seed bun. We are so into this burger. It’s got the perfect outer char, making it a bit crispy on the outside, with a succulent juicy inside. It’s salty in the best way, and the fondue and truffle chip add that savory umami and richness. It’s got so much flavor for such a tiny burger (technically it’s a slider). (And now we’re drooling while we write this.) Seriously, go try this.
To find this burger, head to the World Discovery area of Epcot. It’s located in the festival kiosk on the walkway between the Creations Gift Shop and Test Track.
Sadly, this burger is only offered during the International Food And Wine Festival, which ends November 23, 2024. That means this is a limited time offering. Drats! Better hurry if you want to try it out! We know we’ll be heading back there a few times before it’s gone.
